Six unforgettable kids — with no families, no homes — are running for their lives. Max Ride and her best friends have the ability to fly. And that’s just the beginning of their amazing powers. But they don’t know where they come from, who’s hunting them, why they are different from all other humans… and if they’re meant to save mankind — or destroy it.

For almost 6 years I’ve been waiting for Maximum Ride to become a movie. It’s the only series by James Patterson that’s actually good and feels real. The series was originally a trilogy so anything after Saving The World and Other Extreme Sports is an unnecessary read and to be honest, is shit.

For years there was news that this series was going to become a movie. There was even a rumor that Alex Pettyfer was going to play Fang. I watched the trailer for the movie just now and I am not impressed. If anything, I’m disappointed.  I expected more. The acting isn’t very good. The special effects for the wings kind of suck. The casting is disappointing. Jenna Marbles is a producer on this movie and that’s surprising. According to, Catherine Hardwicke was originally interested in making Maximum Ride into a movie. Thankfully, that didn’t happen, because to he honest, the first Twilight movie wasn’t very good and I’m a big fan of Twilight.

This trailer came out of nowhere and the movie isn’t  going to be released in major theaters. Only in a few theaters. It’s going to be released as a DVD on August 30 of this year.  I’m not sure that I’m going to watch the movie because I don’t want to be disappointed. Tell me what you think of the trailer.

I have loved Maximum Ride for so long. I kept reading his books with disappointment after disappointment of the sequels–book four and on–and I have always wondered what a movie would look like. This just greatly saddens me. It looks horrible.

I always thought that when the movie was made it would be of good quality. I didn’t expect it to look as bad as Sharknado. Maybe it’ll be remade by someone who know what they re doing and will have money so that it’ll actually look like a decent movie

That’s exactly what I was hoping for, but I’m starting to think that it won’t happen.
