Goodreads Description: Starting over sucks. When we moved to West Virginia right before my senior year, I’d pretty much resigned myself to thick accents, dodgy internet access, and a whole lot of boring… until I spotted my hot neighbor, with his looming height and eerie green eyes. Things were looking up.
And then he opened his mouth. Daemon is infuriating. Arrogant. Stab-worthy. We do not get along. At all. But when a stranger attacks me and Daemon literally freezes time with a wave of his hand, well, something… unexpected happens.
The hot alien living next door marks me. You heard me. Alien. Turns out Daemon and his sister have a galaxy of enemies wanting to steal their abilities, and Daemon’s touch has me lit up like the Vegas Strip. The only way I’m getting out of this alive is by sticking close to Daemon until my alien mojo fades.
If I don’t kill him first, that is.
I forgot how much I love this book!!! It’s a bit cheesy, but still really good. Katy Swartz has moved to West Virginia from Florida. She’s also one of my favorite characters because not only does she love books, but she has a book blog as well.
Daemon Black is like, number 5 on my Book Boyfriend list. In the beginning, he’s kind of (mostly) a jerk, but that goes away as the book goes on. I want to marry Daemon. Literally. What I also love the about Katy is that she doesn’t put up with Daemon’s crap. She tries to resist Daemon, but I don’t know why she would. He’s so attractive.
Dee, Daemon’s sister, is so cool!! I want her to be my friend. She’s so nice and fun and bubbly. Daemon will do everything he can to take care and protect her. I admire him for that.
This is one of the only alien series that I have ever read and I love it! This book is perfect for when you need to get out of a reading slump. My rating is 5 out of 5 stars. Seriously, once you read one of Jennifer L. Armentrout’s books, you’ll be addicted to her books.
