College

I officially started my Freshman year of college on August 23, 2014. Let me tell you: college, depending on the school you go to, is almost exactly how you think it will be. Parties. Booze. Sex. Drugs (Maybe. I don’t know.Depends on the party I guess.) Moving in was absolutely exhausting!!!! I literally had two car fulls of stuff. Most of the stuff I had didn’t work out very well. The room I’m staying in is a Triple. It consist of a  single bed and a bunk bed. I got the top bunk. :/ I was afraid that I was going to fall off of the bed, no joke. There are some Triples where there aren’t any bunk beds; just single beds. Those triples are in the corner of the dorm hall, making it bigger and able to have three single beds. That’s what they don’t tell you. Even though they call the room that I’m staying in a Triple, it’s literally just a Double with a bunk bed. Have I mentioned how much I don’t like bunk beds??? My first night, I was considering going to a party, but the more I thought about it, the more uncomfortable I was about going to a party off campus. Here’s what to expect for the first few days on campus: PARTIES. That’s it. Parties. To me it kind of just seems like all everyone wants to do right now is party and drink.  Freshman will drink a lot (I’m serious. It’s unhealthy) and then they post it on social media. Not smart y’all. When I went off campus with my roommates and their friends and we were in our dorm, a drunk guy came up to the window because we were on the first floor, and stuck his face onto the window and yelled, “DUDE! There’s like 12 of them in here!!” Excuse me, there were 5. Learn how to count.  So far, I haven’t really met anyone who wants to hang out and not go to a party. Just know this; don’t do anything that you don’t want to do. If you don’t want to go to a party, you don’t have to. It’s your decision.  Don’t let anyone pressure you into going to a party and drinking just because you think you have something to prove. You don’t. Just try to find people like you and you’ll be fine.  Other than that, I really love college. Some of the classes are time consuming and hard, but I enjoy them. Because of all of these classes, I haven’t exactly had the time to read or post anything. I’m going to try to start posting more, but I’m not exactly sure how consistent the posts will be. Thanks for sticking with me!!!
